Temperatures weren't the only thing hot in Schuylkill Haven, PA this afternoon as the Penn State Scranton Men's Soccer team took on PSU Schuylkill. Head Coach Joe Baltrusaitis entered his first PSUAC match on the road and his team returned victorious as they edged the opposing Lions 2-1.
In a game riddled with breakaways and near misses Dunmore graduates Joe Capooci (freshman- DUS) and James Cole (junior-business) each scored to put the PSU Scranton men ahead. Fellow DHS grad Bailey Sleboda (freshman-DUS) and Scranton grad Chris Matute (sophomore-DUS) had an assist while Carbondale native Jarrod Arendt (freshman-engineering) was the winning keeper.
The men will play their first home game this Saturday, September 12 on their newly renovated field against PSU Mont Alto. The game kicks off at 1:00 PM.
