Game 2
Penn State Brandywine
Today the Penn State Scranton baseball team took to the field for their season finale as they hosted Penn State Brandywine for a double header. In game one the Penn State Scranton Lions struggled to find their rythmn dropping the game 11-1.
Game two was a different story for the local Lions with freshman, pitcher Matt Denig on the mound. Denig pitched a complete game, striking out 8 batters. Also contributing to the win was freshman, center fielder Ryan Phillips belting a 2 run home run bringing home freshman, second baseman Tom Chuisano. Phillips' deep shot was immediately followed up with a bomb by senior, third baseman Alex Terrery giving the Lions a lead they didn't surrender. Freshman first baseman Brett Seidita and Ryan Phillips also each stole a base and Tom Chiusano hit a double for Penn State Scranton.
