Bio

John Foy is the Head Softball Coach at Penn State Worthington Scranton.  Coach Foy has extensive experience in athletics.  He coached Tripps Park Softball for over 8 years in the junior and senior levels combined, the Diamond Dusters for one year which was the was the first-year for the 16-U travel team of local players with no previous high-level experience. The team finished second in league play at Drifton ASA, and had a winning record in highly competitive ASA tournaments throughout the PA, NY and NJ region.

Coach Foy also worked at Scranton Prep High School for 2 years as Assistant Coach responsible for pitching, hitting and baserunning and then the next 3 years as Head Coach, winning the 1992 League title and Coach of the Year nomination. Later he became Head Coach at The University of Scranton before coming to Penn State. Coach Foy was awarded Coach of The Year in 2001 for his work at the University of Scranton.
 

Coach Foy operated Fastpitch winter clinic at Marywood for the Tripp Park association and worked with young players to help upgrade their ability to play competitive softball. He worked alongside some of the state’s top ASA Womens Fastpitch coaches/players in Womens’ Majors and Class A.

John Foy was also a sponsor Consultant, PA & US Special Olympics. Organizes/operates ASRA National Ski Racing Camps in conjunction w/former National Team members, Olympians. Was a consultant for the Keystone State Winter Games. And operated professional Motocross team that competed in U. S. Nationals and World Grands Prix events.

He coached high-level athletes in Softball, Skiing and Motocross.
